This delightful stone cottage is on a quiet lane just outside the village of Marzan, a 15 minute walk from the river Vilaine. All basic amenities such as bakery, convenience store and bar are available in the village while a larger selection of shops and restaurants is available in the historic town of la Roche Bernard a five minute drive away.
The cottage sleeps up to 6 people. On the ground floor is a spacious lounge dining room with stone fireplace, sofa bed, TV, dvd/video and hi fi unit.
The fitted open plan kitchen has fridge with freezer compartment, electric cooker, oven, microwave and washing machine.
There is also a downstairs w.c.
Upstairs there is a mezzanine area with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers.
Also on the first floor is a bathroom, separate w.c and storage cupboard.
Outside there is a small front garden with barbecue and garden furniture. Off road parking.
The historic town of La Roche-Bernard is a 5 minute drive away .A guided tour is a good way to appreciate this charming town, with its small squares and narrow streets. A visit to the Rock site is recommended for unequalled panoramic views of the Vilaine and the Roche-Bernard bridges. The Ruicard walk has a nice view of the old harbour and marina. The sailing school is a good place to learn water sports. For the less active boat trips are available on the river. Further afield lies the coast (15 minutes) with its sandy beaches and the Briere Natural Area of Beauty.
