‘Send Me A Postcard Darling’ is an innovative exhibition of postcard-sized art. Featuring the work of over 50 artists, all manner of styles and media will be on display, with everything measuring just six inches by four inches.

As well as being restricted to producing something the size of your average postcard, all the artists are being encouraged to price their work as affordably as possible.

Established artists and home-studio heroes alike will be on display. Already confirmed are international and local names such as: • Carne Griffiths – illustrator and lightbox magician • Claire Higgott – textile artist and thermofax printer • Laura Kidd – photographer and musician • John Riordan – illustrator, comic book artist and musician • Jenny Rolfe – textile artist and quilter • Laura Ward – photographer and co-organiser of the show.

More artists are being confirmed daily. Please go to www.sendmeapostcarddarling.com for more information.

‘Send Me A Postcard Darling’ is a project conceived and organised by artists Laura Ward and James Higgott. Laura was one of the organisers of the 2009 Apollo Project, in which a group of artists turned an unused shop into an art gallery for a month. James is a local musician and photographer.

‘Send Me A Postcard Darling’ is inspired by similar postcard shows which have taken place in New York and Nottingham.
