About me

My name is Chris Jackson and in 2003, while living overseas, I picked up my first camera in years. After taking a picture of a friend and his girlfriend with his Nikon (can't remember what model), I decided that I wanted to try taking some photos. The next day I went out to the local electronics market and bought a used Nikon 801 with 35-70mm and 70-300mm lenses. I used them for about a year and then bought a used Nikon D100. Since then I have added a Sigma 18-50mm and a Sigma 50-500mm.

Over the years I have not had much luck, in my opinion, taking photos. I am always reading and taking classes. The hardest part for me is to actually get out and shoot. Maybe I'm not very creative. I am hoping that by having this website set up that some people will see some of my work and let me know what they think.
